1860-S $10 -- Tooled, Cleaned -- ANACS Details. VF20. The 1860-S is one of the most underrated rarities of the ten dollar Liberty series. From a meager mintage of 5,000 pieces, PCGS estimates a mere 30 to 45 survivors. Among No Motto issues, perhaps only the 1864-S and 1865-S are rarer. This pumpkin-gold representative is thickly hairlined, and the obverse field is smoothed near stars 1, 3, 6, 7, and 8. Nonetheless, an obtainable example of a formidable rarity.
