A Charles II ebony quarter repeating table clock
Robert Seignior, London, circa 1683 6-inch latched dial with cherub spandrels, strike/not strike lever above XII and signed Robt.Seignior, London, two train bell striking fusee movement with six ring-turned latched pillars, verge escapement and pull-repeating the quarters on three bells operated from either side, the backplate engraved with tulips and leaf scrolls within a line border, dome top moulded case with carrying handle, repousse gilt-brass dome frets, the front door with similar fret and escutcheons. 31 cm. 12 in. high.
