A Winchester-Hotchkiss Bolt Action Carbine dating: 1875-1890 provenance: USA Round, rifled, 24', 45-70 gauge barrel, with fore-sight and adjustable and foldaway rear sight. Bolt action in working order. Marked on the left side with company's address and various patents until 1877. Wooden, half stock (cracks on the grip). Big change lever for safety lock on the right side. To be cleaned. Iron mounts. The first Winchester rifle with bolt action, as well as the company's first with a magazine inside the butt.
