Exquisite quality for this High Medieval Flemish emission, which closely imitates the Ange d'Or introduced by Philippe VI of France in 1340. Heavily laden with Gothic artistry throughout, every inch of the specimen at hand fully attests to the skill of the die engraver, his guide still visible around portions of the reverse cross and quatrefoil. With 9 total yet certified between NGC and PCGS combined, this offering stands as the uncontested leader of the pack. Undoubtedly worthy of its "star" designation, and deserving of a premium bid as such.
