Although best known for his Marlboro campaign, Dieter Blum devoted much of his photographic work to the subjects of dance, music and art. For more than 20 years, Blum has asked numerous internationally well-known artists and nude models to participate in actions, which Blum has captured in impressive shots. In 2012, Blum published most of these artists' portraits in the artist book 'A Part of Art'. Condition: The work is in very good condition, showing only the lightest traces from use to the frame. Dieter Blum (b. 1936) Dieter Blum was born in Esslingen and discovered his interest in photography already in his youth. Since 1964, Dieter Blum has been working as a freelance photographer. He has received commissions by magazines such as Der Spiegel, Stern, Time and Vanity Fair. Blum has also portrayed the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra for more than thirty years and therefore received the World Press Award in 1982. He is especially known for his pictures of Marlboro campaigns as well as for his documentations of professional dancers. Blum’s works have been exhibited in numerous exhibitions all over the world. The artist lives and works in Düsseldorf and Esslingen.
