Southern Rhodesia Southern Rhodesia Currency Board 10 Pounds 15.4.1953 Pick 15a PMG Very Fine 30 EPQ. One of the most illusive and desirable of all African notes, and one of the most famous notes to feature the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Print totals for this denomination were small, and few are extant to be enjoyed today. This example is the second finest of only 8 pieces dated 1953 graded in the PMG Population Report at the time of cataloging. EPQ status was granted to highlight the originality of the paper, which can be seen through the third party holder. Only a few hundred thousand notes were printed, making it significantly scarcer than the Rhodesia & Nyasaland 10 Pound note issued subsequently.
